Rim-sin was foaled in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Rim-sin's sire Asil Harb was bred by master breeder Alice Payne. He was shown in English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, and Halter. Alice Payne then stood stallion duty at Lois Selby Perry's in Connecticut before leaving to Nova Scotia. He was brother to such horses as Asil Apogee, Asil Ecliptic, Asil Altair, and Orbit. He was foaled in 1961. Asil Harb stood only 14.1 hands high, but often sired taller foals. He was 68.75% *Raffles. Asil Harb was sired by Rafferty (a *Raffles son) and out of Afara (a *Raffles daughter).

LoZzaraffa was bred by Richard Lodwick
of Lodwick Arabians in Ohio. Her bloodlines are similar to Asil Harb in that she was also intensely *Raffles bred.

Rim-Sin matured into a lovely young stallion. The picture above is one of the few times he left the farm when he attended the Tribreed show. Rim-Sin was beautiful, calm, and had a fantastic horse to be around. Unfortunately as a four year old, he suffered a pasture accident, causing him to break his fetlock joint. As a result, he couldn't seriously be ridden without pain.
He sired many offspring out of a variety of mares. Only two were registered purebreds (Crim-Sin & GH Royal Afara), however he did have other purebreds, just they were never registered. Do you know where more Rim-Sin offspring are?
Rim-Sin is now deceased and his progeny have not only been all over Nova Scotia, but Canada and the United States and even Switzerland! If you have more pictures of Rimsin or his foals, feel free to share. E-mail info is located on the "contact" page.
